Kelly D. Wester, age59 of
Rochester, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at his companion's residence in Central City, Kentucky. Born on Wednesday, December 1, 1965, in Lewisburg, Kentucky, Kelly's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and the simple joys of life.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Carlie Shelby and Annie Peay Wester. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his companion, Patricia Wester of Central City, KY; his two sons, Andy Wester (Emily) of Belton, KY, and Jacob Wester (Ashley) of Central City, KY; and his daughter, Chelsey Wester (Joe Carmack) of Central City, KY. Kelly's joy was multiplied by his five grandchildren: Warren Wester, Zoie Milam, Dennie Wester, Xavier Anderson, and Carter Wester. Also surviving Kelly's brother, Roger Wester (Donna) of
Rochester, KY, and his sister, Shirl Williams (Robbie) of
Rochester, KY, along with several nieces and nephews.
A man of many interests, Kelly found solace in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, and he took great pride in working around the farm. Riding horses was not just a pastime but a passion that spoke to his adventurous spirit. Kelly enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00am with Bro. Brian Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery where Andy, Jacob, Dustin, Chadd and Kasen Wester, Dylan Shoulders and Timmy Colter will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
