Kendrick Antoine Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 28, 2024.
Kendrick Lawrence Antoine was born in Austin, Texas on March 3, 1995. He was the youngest child of Sheri Howard and Willie Adams. He attended Mt. Pilgrim as a child until his mother moved to Pleasant Grove, where Pastor A.J. Quinton baptized him.
He played football and basketball in his youth and ran the 440 relay. He respected Coach Jackson, who was also his mentor, as well as several other coaches. Kendrick started early childhood school at the age of 3. From there, he attended Barbara Jordan Elementary and Decker Elementary Schools. He moved on to Manor Middle School and Manor High School.
Kendrick would go with his mom for over 12 years to the Heritage Park Nursing Home to participate in service with Rev. Chambers. He would always pray and sing.
He worked at McDonald's and quickly moved up in management. He worked for Whataburger, a cookie factory and a warehouse. Kendrick worked alongside his best friend Billy Nix and his dad, whom he greatly respected.
Kendrick loved his family and friends. He cared for many and would give the shirt off his back. Kendrick was very close to his nephews and ce. He loved spending time with his mother. They worked together, doing lawn and tree service.
He was over the moon when he discovered he was having Ken'Delle. They shared a lifetime of memories. Kendrick loved going to his grandma's for dinner; his soul was content there. Kendrick couldn't stay mad at anyone too long because he had a big heart. Kendrick enjoyed being home and watching movies with his family and spending time with his older brother, and he would talk about their time together for days. He admired his oldest brother, Kenneth, and would follow him everywhere. Kendrick enjoyed attending church service, and everyone there loved him.
His older brother, Ricky Ward, Kenneth Antoine, and his father, Willie Adams, preceded him in death.
Kendrick leave to cherish his memory: his mother, Sheri Howard; son, Ken'Delle Lee Nance; brothers, Joe Burton, Ralph Adams, and Kermit Maxwell; his sisters, MaiSheri Maxwell, Jackie Adams, Gayneell Smith; and a host of family and friends.
A visitation for Kendrick will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St John College Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 7207 Carver Avenue, Austin, TX 78752. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM. His final resting place will be at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
