Kenneth 'Ken' Lee Barton, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2025, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 55. Born on September 30, 1970, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Ken was a cherished figure in his community and a loving family man.

Ken graduated from North High School in Wichita, KS, which laid the foundation for his future endeavors and successes. He married his soul mate, Jennifer 'Jenny' Pinkerton on September 20, 1996 in Wichita, Kansas. They have made their home in Grove for 10 years, relocating from Mexico, Missouri.

Ken spent over ten years with Aramark Facility Services as a Director of Operations, but happily left that successful career to ensure he was available and home for his family. Ken has spent the last five years of his career as a chef at N.E. Tech in Afton, where he was admired for his culinary skills and his ability to bring people together, his specialty being the same as his moms, German Chocolate Cake. His passion for cooking was only matched by his love for movies, music, and travel, having visited places like New York, Florida, and England, just to name a few.

Described as very easy-going and easy to like, Ken was an admirable father and a central figure in his large family. He was a 'dad' to many and was a cheerful and loving man who was passionately devoted to his family.

Ken is survived by his wife, Jenny Barton; his father, Steve Barton (Kathy); his children, Trevor Barton (Jessica) of Zena, OK, Ella Barton, Bobbi Barton (Hunter), Emma Barton, Harley Barton, DeeDee Barton, and Grace Barton, all of Grove; his grandchild, Rider, and he was looking forward to another grandchild on the way; his brother, Kevin Barton (Jennifer) of Dallas, TX; and numerous extended family members and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Barbra (Justvig) Barton, his sister, Jody Barton, and his brother, Mark Barton.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled from 3 - 5 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Visitation and Reception area in Grove, OK. Nichols-Stephens Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with the arrangements.

His legacy of kindness is sure to live on through the many lives he touched.
