Peggy A. O'Herin

Peggy A. O'Herin, 70, of Grove, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on

November 13, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. Born December 22, 1954, in Mankato, Minnesota, she

was a daughter of the late Harvey & Loraine (Doss) Anderson.

Peggy was a graduate of Mankato High School, Mankato, MN. In 1973, she married Mike O'Herin of St.

Clair, MN and they had three children. Together with Mike, they farmed the O'Herin family farm in rural

St Clair and later raised cattle and ran chicken farms after moving to Oklahoma. Before moving to

Oklahoma, she also had worked at Continental Can in Mankato. She had also worked in the office for a

time at Simmons in Siloam Springs. Peggy and Mike had recently been managing a family lodge on Grand

Lake for the Jones family

She loved going to antique stores and finding treasures she could repurpose in very creative ways. The most valuable and important treasures to her though, were all her family. She never missed a chance to gather

everyone together. There was always plenty of love and food for everyone when any of her family gathered

together. She also enjoyed researching and recording their family ancestry from both sides of the family..

She was a member of the Church on the Hill in Grove, OK. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and a

great friend, Peggy will truly be missed.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Mike, parents, mother and father-in-law Dan and Carol

O'Herin, brothers in-law Bob O'Herin, Tom O'Herin, Don Zumwalt, and Pete Phillips, nephews Korey

Anderson and Jason Farniok. She is survived by her three children, Michael (Kristen) O'Herin Jr, Patrick

(Gwenevere Zanger) O'Herin, and Shanie Roberts, all of Grove, OK; six grandchildren, Katilin O'Herin,

Nicklaus (Kimber) O'Herin, Rusty (Amy) Roberts, Rowdy (Lydia Killion) Roberts, Aidan O'Herin and

Brooklyn Grant; and five great-grandchildren, Kimber North, Pyper Doublehead, Katy Ruth O'Herin,

Waylon Roberts, and Emery Killion. She is also survived by sisters Linda (Ivan Dimcheff) Morrison, Nancy

(Steve) Bestmann, Jan (David) Gartner, brothers Alan (Teresa) Anderson, Scott (Denise) Anderson, Pat

(Linette) Anderson, John Anderson and sisters-in law Pat Zumwalt, Joann Phillips and Dee O'Herin, and

many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 1pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Chapel in Grove.
