Kenneth Michael Cislo, "Ken", age 76, of Midland, Michigan, passed away peacefully, his wife Linda by his side, at Orchard Manor, in
Farmington, Michigan on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Born on May 3, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan, Ken was the beloved son of the late Edward and Wanda (Przepiora) Cislo. He graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School, and went on to earn his teaching degree at Wayne State University, where he met his future wife, Linda Tkachik. Ken left the teaching profession to pursue a lifelong career as an Electrician joining I.B.E.W. 692, in Bay City, Michigan. He worked for several different companies, but mainly in the Dow Chemical and Dow Corning Corporations, in Midland, Michigan. On February 15, 1975, Ken married the love of his life and best friend, Linda Tkachik at St. Agnes Catholic Church, in Sanford, Michigan. They celebrated their Golden Anniversary of 50 years together this past February. Their marriage was one of great devotion, friendship, and everlasting love. Ken was a passionate and devoted husband to Linda, and a proud father to beloved daughter Melissa Cislo DuFresne. He was a doting grandfather to Eloise, and Adrien DuFresne, brother to David Cislo and Annette Cislo, father-in-law to Michael DuFresne, and brother-in-law to Jan Cislo, Mark Wozniak, Carol Tkachik Torres, and Alexander Carl Tkachik. Ken could be soft spoken, but around those who knew him best, he was someone who enjoyed sharing jokes, laughter, and spending time with those he loved. He enjoyed tinkering with his Lionel train layout, sharing his love of folk and rock records, and shared a passion for art with his wife Linda and daughter Melissa. Ken had a wonderful creative spirit that was evident in the pottery, paintings, drawings, stained glass works, and sculptures that he made. Ken had a great love and awe of nature that was shared by his wife Linda, and daughter Melissa. Together they created a beautiful garden full of fruit, vegetables, and flowers that brought them so much joy and relaxation. Family trips to reflect in nature led them to travel to the Grand Canyon, National Parks, mountains of Colorado, and northern Michigan lakes and beaches. Fishing, sailing, and canoeing were enjoyed at their cottage on Tallman Lake, near Ludington, Michigan. These were some of the greatest memories for Ken and his family. Ken's Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life is planned for Friday morning, November 7, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in
Farmington, Michigan. Instate will begin at 9:30 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM with Very Rev. Canon Walter J. Ptak. After Mass, a luncheon and sharing of memories with family and friends will take place at John Cowley & Sons Restaurant, located in downtown
Farmington, Michigan. Those wishing to honor Ken's memory are invited to make memorial tributes to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. Ken's absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Please keep the Cislo family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
