Kenneth J. Ebbeling, 90, a loving and generous soul, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023, in Milford, MA. Born on May 24, 1933, in Whitinsville, MA, he was the son of the late John and Sadie Ebbeling.
A veteran, Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his return from service, his strong work ethic and dedication led him to a fulfilling career in the construction industry. He worked diligently for the late Delmar Kidd of Economy Homes, building many houses in the Whitinsville area until his well-deserved retirement
Kenneth was a devoted husband and father. He was married to Carol, the great love of his life, for 70 years. Their love story was one of enduring devotion, companionship and mutual respect. His daughter, Lynn Paresky, and her husband Lee, were the apples of his eye. He was predeceased by his siblings, Gertrude Ebbeling, Jennie Ebbeling and George Ebbeling.
Kenneth's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He loved the outdoors and animals, particularly his daughter's English yellow labs and horses. He spent many joyful hours in their company, cherishing the simple pleasures of life. Kenneth was all about family, and he loved his son-in-law, Lee Paresky, like he was his own son. Kenneth's love for his family was evident in all his actions and words. Some of his favorite and happiest times were the many times spent at Lynn and Lee's home in Douglas, which he was instrumental in helping build.
Kenneth's adventurous spirit was evident in his love for motorcycling, traveling on his Suzuki with Carol for many years to New Hampshire, Vermont, and Cape Cod, while creating a lifetime of memories. His love for puttering around his property and working on woodworking projects in his shop brought him great joy.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Donations in Kenneth's memory may be made to the MSPCA or American Cancer Society.
