William "Don" Ebbeling, 89, of Sebec, ME and formerly of Northbridge, MA, died peacefully on November 25, 2024 in Milford Hospital.
Born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Titus and Dora (Koopmans) Ebbeling. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, class of 1954.
After a stint in the United States Army, Don worked as a milkman, and then owned a bakery truck delivery business. He also took on many handyman jobs in his spare time. Don went to computer school and retired early from his job as a Data Operations Supervisor with New England Electric in 1998 to begin his new adventures in Maine.
Always a hard worker, he took great pride in his animals, hives, gardens and orchards. Don was also an avid baker, famous for his cinnamon rolls, apple pies and almond paste cookies. He generously shared his harvests and his baked goods with family and friends.
Don is survived by Eileen, his wife of 65 years, and his children: Diane and David Wassenar of Whitinsville, Dawn Baldiga of GA, Darlene and Reese Rhodes of Mendon, Daniel and Linda Ebbeling of Franklin, Brian Dumont of Thailand, Deborah Ebbeling of Whitinsville and partner Tim LaFreniere; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Don was predeceased by his siblings Sidney, Titus, George, Herman, Grace Baker, Henry, Eleanor Baca, and Ernest.
