Kenneth John Flack Sr., 87, of Warren, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday evening, August 23, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital.

Ken was born on January 24, 1938, in Butler, Pennsylvania, and was the only son of Clyde and Ann (Uram) Flack. A January 1956 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, he also proudly served in the Army Reserve from 1961 to 1967. He learned the trade of electrician and became a member of IBEW Local 573 in 1964.

He was a dedicated electrician until his retirement in 1996, and he loved his craft. He enjoyed sharing stories of the homes and buildings he had worked on and especially remembered the times he placed the Christmas lights on top of the Trumbull County Courthouse.

Beyond his career, Ken enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing, traveling, and making wonderful memories on ski trips and beach vacations. He was a member at Blessed Sacrament Church, where he volunteered on the grounds committee. Ken also had a passion for making wine, starting from hand-picking grapes to bottling it, and then sharing and enjoying it with friends and family.

Ken's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment with his wife of 61 years, Carol (Bochniak) Flack, whom he married on September 7th, 1963, and his sons, Ken (Dorene Wojcik) of Cortland and Doug (Nadine) of Phoenix, AZ. His grandchildren, Lily, Annabel, and Blaine, held a special place in his heart, and he loved catching up with cousins, neighbors, and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Ken's life. Visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483. Additional visitation will be on Saturday, August 30, from 9 to 10 am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish – Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 am, with Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating. Ken will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Ken's name to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish – Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483.

We met Ken in 1971 when he was sent to rewire my parents house after a fire. The next summer we were on a trip to Nantucket and were surprised to find Ken and Carol on the same boat. The following summer we were more surprised when we purchased our first home and discovered Ken and Carol to be our neighbors. We became fast friends, enjoyed many supper club dinners, dances and outings together and were very supportive of each other in good times and bad for more than 50 years. Ken will be deeply missed for his friendship and his smile. Ken was very supportive of our grandson and his accordion playing and made the effort to be at the Warren Italian Festival to hear him play with a polka band the night before he was taken into the hospital. Cooper will miss Mr. Flack and his kindness.
