Kenneth Ray Furr, 80, of Concord, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.
Kenneth was born February 5, 1944 in North Carolina to the late Paul C Shue and the late Helen Kathleen Shue.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Barbara Sue Furr; brothers, Bruce Wayne Furr, Darrell Eugene Furr and sister, Doris Furr Cruse.
Kenneth was honored to have served in the United States Army for 21 years and was a Vietnam Veteran.
After retiring from the Army, Kenneth went on to drive 18 wheelers for Fredrickson Motor Express and Old Dominion Freightliners.
Kenneth loved to hunt, fish, play poker and go out to eat.
The family will receive friends from 11am -12:45pm on Friday 25, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home 12115 University City Blvd.Harrisburg, N.C. 28075. The funeral service will follow at 1pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel to be officiated by Pastor Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens at 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, N.C.
Survivors include son, Nathan Alan (Laurie) Furr, daughter, Katheleen Archer; son, Paul Edward Furr, son, Timothy Lee (Debbie) Furr; granddaughters, Amanda and Kendall; grandson, Aaron; great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jacob and Anthony; son in law, David Archer; brother, Douglas(Cathy) Furr and his beloved cat, Violet.
Kenneth loved to make people laugh and is already greatly missed.
