Obituary of Kenneth Michael Geffen
Kenneth (Ken) Michael Geffen passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2023, at the age of 74 while on a family vacation in Negril, Jamaica. Born on October 16, 1948, in Newton, MA. Ken was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother (in-law), uncle, and friend.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Webb) Geffen, his daughter Rachel LiVecchi of Pennington, NJ, his siblings Susan LeDoux of Westford, and David Geffen of Newton. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Michael LiVecchi, and his cherished grandchildren Chloe, Trevor, Jackson, and Grayson LiVecchi, as well as a large extended family. Ken was preceded in death by his son Michael and his parents, Milton Geffen and Rosalyn (Greenwood) Geffen.
Ken was a true "Mensch," known for his kindness, honesty, loyalty, and easy-going nature. He was a good friend to many and had a positive impact on everyone he met. When his children were young, Ken was very involved with the Burlington Youth Soccer Association, coaching his son's soccer team and serving on the Board of Directors. He also enjoyed water skiing, bowling, playing cards, dining out with friends, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
Ken received his education from Newton South High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He dedicated 26 years of his career as a Systems Analyst at Textron before joining Goodrich Corporation in Westford, where he worked until his retirement at the age of 73.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visiting hours at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington, on Thursday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to Noon. A graveside service will follow at Pine Haven Cemetery, Bedford St., Burlington, at 12:30 p.m. The family will observe Shiva until 7:30 p.m. at Ken's sister's home at 1 Easy Street, Westford, MA.
In Ken's memory, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association. Contributions can be made online at www.heart.org or mailed to 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451.

One hopes that a familiar name does not crop up on the obituary pages, but, sometimes it happens. If this is the same Kenny Geffen I knew, we were friends and neighbors through elementary school living on Oakdale Rd. and Parker Ave. He was a wonderful youngster and a friend at that time.

My deepest condolences to the family.
