Kenneth Robert Harnage

Kenneth Robert Harnage, 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, March 27, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born Thursday, August 1, 1946, in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Paul A. Harnage and the late Marian C. (Deavers) Harnage.

Ken graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the late 1960's. Ken was employed with the United States Postal Service retiring after 25 years. Subsequently he worked as a department manager with Safeway for 15 years.

After relocating to Hagerstown ten years ago, he found many new interests. He enjoyed volunteering at Meritus Hospital and his Lions Club membership. He also enjoyed many church activities and treasured his many friends at John Wesley UMC and Mt. Carmel UMC.

Ken enjoyed travel, restaurants, the beach and loved a good crab feast. He also loved music, especially gospel music. He enjoyed many family traditions and was loved by many people.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Iris A. Harnage; daughter, Rhonda L. Baker and husband Scott, son, Paul David Harnage and wife Julie, granddaughter, Brittany B. Corrigan and husband Kyle, granddaughter, Heather L. Baker and great granddaughter, Clarke E. Corrigan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Harnage and grandson, Brandon S. Baker.

Services will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, with the Pastor Len Horst officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD.
