Kenneth (Ken) Henry, 76, of Wildwood, Florida, formerly of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025. Ken was born on September 6, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Doris (Baker) and Robert Henry. After graduating from Springboro High School, he attended Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he met and married the love of his life. Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cumberland College, Ken relocated to Leesburg, Florida to pursue a career in education. He continued his education at Stetson University and Nova University receiving a Masters Degree in Administration. Ken's teaching career began at Clermont Middle School and ended 34 years later when he retired from Umatilla High school. Ken led a fulfilling life centered on family, friends, teaching and fishing. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and treasured friend. He shared his love of fishing and adventure with his family and friends. Summer vacations were filled with fishing trips from Florida to Canada, stopping at amusement parks and historical sites along the way. Ken's love and laughter have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Patsy Davis Henry, daughter, Amber Nesselrotte (Kasey) of Oxford, Florida, son, Jeffrey Dane Henry of Wildwood, Florida, and a special brother-in-law, Lee Roy Rose (Louise) of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Baker Henry and Robert E. Henry of Springboro, Ohio, and brother Larry Henry of Springboro, Ohio. "Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends leave footprints in your heart." -Eleanor Roosevelt A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida. A Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment and a committal service will follow.
