Sharon Lynn Mitchell

Sharon Lynn Mitchell, 76, of Tavares, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, one day after celebrating her 76th birthday. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on August 12, 1949, Sharon lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to her family. She graduated from Northeast High School in St Petersburg in 1967. In 1968, she married John Albert Mitchell. They were married until his death in 2023. She was a loving mother to her two sons, Michael (Heidi) of Clermont, Florida, and Brian (Caimbrin) of Mt Dora, Florida. Sharon was also a proud and cherished grandmother to Lincoln, Cora, Brooklyn, and Benjamin, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. For over three decades, Sharon faithfully attended Life Church Assembly of God in Fruitland Park, where she formed lasting friendships and for many years served as a Missionettes leader teaching elementary age girls. Her ability to be highly organized and detailed led to a successful 40-year career as a legal secretary in Leesburg, Florida. Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Carol Hayes and Nancy Harkins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Trumbauer Belew, and her father, Elmer Belew. Sharon was known by all who loved her as a quiet, steady, and nurturing presence. Her dedication to her family and her gentle spirit will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Life Church Assembly of God located at 4001 Picciola Rd, Fruitland Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
