In loving memory of a strong soul, Kenneth P. Hollenbach, Sr of Allenwood who passed away on October 20, 2023, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
One of the kindest souls on this planet, he was a quiet, gentle, and giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Early in life, he learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in his children and grandchildren.
He was born to Franklin and Ruth Hollenbach on November 4, 1956 in Lewisburg, Pa and earned his education at Warrior Run and Muncy as a child. He was retired from the disposal service, he started working with Wertman's Disposal of Montgomery and retired from B & W Disposal of Dewart. He was also a Life Member of the Warrior Run Area Fire Department, beginning with the Allenwood Fire Company in 1979.
He married Melody Kinney on July 2, 1977 who survives him. He also is survived by his children Kenneth, Jr (Christopher Brown) of Watsontown, Jeremy (Alissa) of Watsontown and Nichole (Andrew Kurtz) of Allenwood. Also surviving are his mother Ruth of Lewisburg, brother Ronald (Michelle) of Allenwood, sisters Deb (Ray King) of Watsontown, Ann Merritt of Montandon and Gail Mangle of Mifflinburg; grandchildren and great grandchildren Logan (Cilla Brehm) of Allenwood, Kelsey and Ethan Kurtz of Allenwood, Dylan and Hayleigh Hollenbach of Watsontown, Emmett Flick and Henley Hostetter of Allenwood and one on the way, Braelynn of Allenwood along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin and grandchildren Connor Hollenbach, Camryn and McKenley Kurtz.
Family and friends are invited to the services on Sunday, October 22, 2023 with a viewing service 4pm - 6pm being held at the Warrior Run Area Social Building, 188 White Deer Avenue, Allenwood.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Services, PC, 124 Main Street, Watsontown, 17777. The family is asking any donations to be sent to the Brooks Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
