Kenneth L. Jussaume

Douglas- Kenneth L, Jussaume, 84, of Cook St., passed away comfortably on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at his home after a period of declining health. His wife of 52 years, Janice C. "Ginger" (Ballou) Jussaume died in 2011.
He is survived by a son Mark S. Jussaume and his wife Cathy of Uxbridge; 3 daughters, Kim M. Genis and her husband Al of Douglas, Tammie L. Jussaume Richards and her husband Paul of Old Orchard Beach, ME, and Kelly S. Sullivan and her husband Michael of Douglas; 9 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Nicole, Erica, Joshua, Jonathan, Michael, Matthew, and Kaitlin; 8 great-grandchildren, Payton, Marc, Mackenzie, Geneva, Damien, Kane, Malik, and Viggo; 2 siblings, Rosemarie "Tootsie" Rae of Franklin, NC, and Beverly Kozlowski of Medway; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Estelle I. Jussaume, and brothers, Edward R. Jussaume, Richard E. Jussaume, and Donald N. Jussaume.
Born in Northbridge on May 29, 1939 Ken was the son of Edward F. and Emma H. (Doyon) Jussaume. He was a graduate of Douglas high school and lived in town most of his life. He was a proud Veteran and served in the U.S Navy as a specialized jet mechanic. Mr. Jussaume worked as a heat treater for General Electric in Ashland before returning back to school an earning a degree from Quinsigamond Community College. He then attained his Master's Degree from Worcester State University and started a second career, working for Tri-Valley Elder Services in Webster as an Ombudsman at local nursing facilities.
He was a member of the East Douglas Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, and gardening. He also loved to travel, take cruises, and camp with his family.
His graveside funeral service with full military honors will be held on Sat. May 25th at 1 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, West St., Douglas.
