Bay City, Michigan
Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and brother passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at McLaren Bay Region, age 85. Ken was born April 3, 1939, in Bay City to the late Harold and Gladys (Huebner) Katt. He was a proud veteran of the United States Naval Construction Battalion, better known as the Navy Seabees and retired from the Naval Reserves after more than 25 years of service. He married Nancy L. Stefaniak on January 9, 1979, and she predeceased him on January 13, 2011. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved being a truck driver for over fifty years until he retired in 2019 from BTI Transport. Ken was a member of the AM Vets Post #22, Loyal Order of Moose #169, and PLAV #162. He enjoyed feeding birds, exercising daily, tinkering with cars, working in his yard, flowers, and listening to music. He loved his classic cars and his schnauzers Buddy and Behr, which both have crossed the rainbow bridge.
