Kenneth J. Manning

Kenneth J. Manning, 73 of Beverly, died on September 21. Born in Beverly, he was the son to the late Kenneth and Mary Theresa (Burchstead) Manning and the beloved husband of 24 years to Maryjane " MJ" (Ercha) Manning.

After graduating from the Claude H Patten High School Kenn spent many years in the auto repair industry. He started his own after market auto accessories business "OJ Pinstripes" until he sold it to travel the world a bit. Upon his return to the US, Kenn became a delivery driver for Gove Lumber and returned to the auto motive accessories business this time as "Stripemaster" and married the love of his life, Maryjane. He retired in 2015. He spent his time hanging out with his buddies, tending his yard, shopping the supermarkets aisles for deals and preparing dinner. He loved his home and loved his wife. Hanging out on Stone Street with family and friends brought him much joy.

He is survived by his cousins, Bruce Burchstead of Dudley, and his sons, Kyle and Sean, Judith Herwig of Salem, Mark Manning of Danvers, the Smiths family of Dorchester, Peggy & Mike Shaw of Quincy; long time friend, Cheryl Mcpherson of Danvers.

His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday, October 1st at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly from 9:30am to 10:30am. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
