James is survived by his son, Brandon Palmer, grandchildren, Syndal Palmer and Peyton Walker, sister, Debbie Palmer, brother, Stanley Palmer, mother of son, Terri Harris, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a graduate of Palmetto High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Betty Bolton Palmer, sister, Diane Blevins, brothers, Robert Palmer, LeRoy Palmer and nephew, Tommy Lance.
In-lieu-of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
A special thanks is extended to Heartland Hospice and Francene Bethune for their care during his illness.
