Mr. Kenneth G. Price, age 81, of Chauncey, IL died Sunday, January 14th, 2024, at 12:40 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN, following several months of failing health.
Kenneth was born July 12th, 1942, to Kenneth Bud Price and Mary Ann (Jones) Price in Vandalia, Illinois. On October 23rd, 1963, he married Carmen Anita Ritch. After Carmen's passing, Kenneth married again, to Sharon Grace Guerreri on May 10th, 1980. Both wives have preceded in death.
Early in his working life, Kenneth found employment at Caterpillar Inc. in Joliet, IL where he worked for two years and after that he moved on to AMOCO Petro-Chemical Plant Inc. in Morris, IL where he worked for over 30 years. Kenneth enjoyed life outdoors and would often be found camping and hunting. He was a World War II history buff, loved John Wayne Films, and enjoyed music by Johnny Cash. He was also a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include sons Brett Price, Des Moines, IA, Chet Price, Las Vegas, NV, Kenneth M. Price, Chauncey, IL, a daughter, Perna M. Price, Chauncey, IL, a brother, Robert Paul Price, Charleston, IL, a sister, Mary Jane Becktell, Robinson, IL, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Judy Price, Dallas, TX, and five grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wives, younger brother Thomas Marion Price, brother-in-law Paul D. Becktell, and sister-in-law Mrs. Linda Lou Price.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 21st, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, Illinois with Pastor Ben Ross officiating. Visitation will precede funeral services from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Interment of cremated remains will take place during the spring and summer of 2024 in the Hardinville Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Republican National Committee to reelect Donald Trump.
