Kenneth Smith Obituary

Kenneth Justin Smith, 66, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Prisma Health, surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was born February 14th, 1959, in Seneca, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Ralph Smith and Lola Mae Holcombe Smith. Kenneth loved God and his family, and he made sure we knew it. For many years, he sang in church and touched hearts with his anointed voice. He was an avid fisherman who loved camping, going to the beach, metal detecting, and riding his motorcycle. Family time was incredibly important to him. Although he lost the ability to speak due to cancer, that didn't stop him; he sang along with the radio using his electro-larynx, often finding humor in the situation. When he took his last breath on earth, with his first breath in heaven, he was singing and telling mama and daddy, "I'm home."
He is survived by his brothers, Steve Smith and Tyler Smith (Jessica), as well as his sisters, Diane "Annie" Smith and Cindy "Tredda" Steading (Dan). Kenneth was a devoted uncle to Nichole "Nikki" Smith and Lindsey Larke (Ethan), and a cherished great-uncle to Gatlin Smith, Maebell Tyner, Cheyenne Tyner, Casey Larke, Emmalee Tyner, EJ Tyner, Greyson Larke, and, last but certainly not least, Zeppelin Smith.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph and Lola Smith, and his sister, Rita Mae Smith.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 19th, 2025.
The family will be at their respective homes. Flowers are accepted.
Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
