Kenneth Victor Thielhorn

Kenneth Victor Thielhorn, 91, died in the early morning hours of Oct. 23, 2025, with his beloved wife Linda at his side.
Born on July 31, 1934, in Monterey (Trimont), Minnesota, Kenny may have stood just but he was a giant in charm, tenacity, and grit: Not exactly quarterback material at Triumph-Monterey High School, he joined the cheerleading squad, discovering it was an excellent way to meet girls.
After proudly serving in the Army and being stationed in Germany, he settled and worked in Northeast Minneapolis as a Teamster in the automotive industry. He occasionally bartended at places like Adolph's at 29th and Central where he met Linda LaMotte and the two married in 1963.
Outdoors, Kenny was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Indoors, he was a doting grandpa and a ruthless cribbage player... occasionally at the same time.
In addition to his wife Linda, Kenny is survived by daughters Terri Peterson (Jerry), Tracy Puchtel (John); sons Chriss (Penny) and Corey (Catherine Skolte), 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Cindy Mikosch, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life: Nov. 1, Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel; visitation 10 a.m., service 11 a.m. Interment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery (private).
