He then went on to study at the University of Detroit where he participated in the ROTC program and graduated with a metallurgical engineering degree. He spent his career as an engineer and manager at the TRW Steering Division in Warren, Michigan where he started in a co-op position when he was 19.
Kenneth’s family was his greatest joy and he was devoted to their well-being throughout his life. He was a faithful and loving husband to Julie for 63 years. He was a warmhearted and dedicated father to his son Kenneth and daughter Kimberly, and a loving grandfather to Margaret and Sean.
In his free time, one of his passions was the restoration of classic and antique cars. He delighted in solving the challenges that came with the restoration of each vehicle. He also loved Michigan summers and was dedicated to the cultivation of his yearly garden. He shared the bountiful vegetables with family, friends and neighbors.
Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of love, thoughtfulness, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Julie (Kramek) Ugolini; his son, Kenneth Jay Ugolini (Bobbie Carter) and daughter, Kimberly Collins (Kevin); his granddaughter, Margaret Ugolini (Michael Collins) and grandson, Sean Collins.
