Kenneth Ray Williams, age 83, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born to the late Raymond Williams and Nettie Saylor York, Kenneth led a life rooted in service, faith, and family. A proud veteran, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, Kenneth continued his commitment to others through his work as a truck driver and as a dedicated police officer with the Corbin Police Department.
Kenneth was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of Upper Room Revival Center. His spiritual devotion guided his life and relationships, and his kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew him.
Kenneth had a special love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a talented and passionate cook, best known for his signature hot dog chili—a family favorite—and his legendary peanut butter fudge. He found great joy in sharing his recipes and stories, especially with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved son, James Eddie Williams, and his sister.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Boyd Williams; his children, Kenneth Williams, Nicole Williams, and September Williams; his grandchildren, Casey Brooke Smith (Brian), Jayden Hoskins, Alyssa Yother, Kayleigh Mitchell, Destanie Williams, Kyrstin Williams, and James Eddie Ray Williams; and great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Ryker, Baylie, and Malaya. He is also survived by his brothers, James Williams (Diane) and Gary York; special friends, Tony Rhodus and Mary Margaret Brown, and Rodney Gray whom he loved like a son.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jayden Hoskins, Jay Dozier, Justin Johnson, Dewayne Jamison, Rodney Gray, and Mack Boyd.Honorary pallbearers include Dickie Rice, Doug Williams, James Carroll, Dexter Troglin, James Williams, Gary York, Frances Rice, Stacey Boyd, Waveline Troglin, and Eddie Haston (Karen).
