Kent D. Albert

Muncie – Kent D Albert, 64, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his residence.
He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 1, 1957, the son of James R. And Jeanne R. (Hallen) Albert. Kent grew up in Illinois. In his youth, he participated in the Boy Scouts and achieved Eagle Scout status. He served his country in the United States Air Force from February, 1975 thru February, 1979, and was honorably discharged. During his time of service, he received his initial training as an Aircraft Mechanic. After discharge, he pursued additional training in the aviation field, which enabled him to eventually achieve Master Aircraft Technician status. He spent most of his career in the aviation field, working for several companies in Illinois. He moved to Muncie, IN in 1995, and was the Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic for Saint Gobain. He retired as a Journeyman Electromechanic for the Ardagh Group in Dunkirk, IN.
Kent always expressed a strong interest in the aviation field, utilizing his natural mechanical abilities to achieve success in his chosen field. He enjoyed drag racing and PC gaming as hobbies, and enjoyed his grandchildren
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Albert, four children: Tamsen Tyler-Bonner (husband, Robert), Shoshana Albert-Jeanor (husband, Jeffrey Jeanor), Matthew Albert and Landon Albert, and three grandchildren, Breana Jeanor, Alexander Jeanor and Elijah Jeanor. Kent was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mark Albert.
A Memorial Mass for Kent will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 W. Jackson Street, Muncie.
Inurnment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
