Kent M. Graham

Kent M. Graham, 75, passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2025 after having Primary Progressive Aphasia for several years. Having trusted Christ as his Savior, his hope of heaven is now a reality.
Born and raised in Akron, he was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Juanita Graham, and brother Rex. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lisa, children Julie (Jason) Anthony, Andrew Graham, and Kimberly Graham, and siblings Mitch, Faye McCormick, and Regina (Chris) Aman, and brother in law Kevin Kristan.
A '67 graduate of Manchester High School, he completed both his undergraduate degree '72, and Law School at Akron U '82.
Starting his career as a prosecutor and then assistant Law Director in Cuyahoga Falls, he worked as a Prosecutor in the Summit County prosecutor's office, then chief counsel to the County Executive, and spent the rest of his career at Portage County, first as chief prosecutor, civil division, culminating in serving 22 years as a magistrate judge, retiring in 2016. He was also active in politics in the '80's successfully running political campaigns for several candidates in Cuyahoga Falls.
Remembered as a man of integrity and faithfulness as he served his family and community, it would be his deepest desire that all his family and friends would come to know God through Jesus Christ His Son.
In his own words "When I was 26 years old, I had a crash with "reality"! I felt that I had to read the whole Bible to understand myself. I did it in 10 days. Then I read it again within 30 days. And at that point, I was sure that God was real! Since then I have followed Christ "
He attended Akron Baptist Temple from the age of 2 weeks where his Mom taught Sunday School; he was a long time Member of the Chapel in Akron, and since 2009 a member of Parkside Green. He had many interests, never wasted a moment, and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at his cottage at Piedmont Lake.
