Kent Clyde Hansen passed away peacefully on the morning of August 30th, 2025, in Salt Lake City, UT, after having been surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on March 12th, 1963, in Stockton, CA, to Halvor and Colleen Hansen. Kent married Tammy Hilton in the Salt Lake City, UT LDS Temple in 1985, and together they built their family. He worked as a Network Administrator for Wheeler Machinery, LDS Business College, and Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators (DMBA). He had a love for technology and continued to share his skills with others in many different capacities over the years. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Social Media Department. He loved teaching Gospel Doctrine and applied to be an online seminary teacher even through his health challenges. Kent loved tennis, working on cars, finding a good deal, growing pumpkins, and all things "Costco." He had a deep love for dogs and all animals and nurtured this same love in his children. His family and friends will remember him for the unique nicknames he gave loved ones, his obsession with Halloween, watering his lawn with a garden hose, and his strong handshake. Kent loved exploring new things; he was a lifelong learner with an incredible memory and was known as "Mr. Google". Service was a core part of his life, and he found joy in giving back to his community. He had a love for rock music and gospel hymns, an ability to make friends with strangers, and enjoyed spending evenings on the front porch with his family. Above all, he loved his family and loved Christ. Kent was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he loved the gospel and knew it was true. He had a unique capacity for compassion and understanding and was kind and accepting of others. He was generous and patient. Even while facing his own medical issues, he constantly cared for others; his strength through his trials, while never complaining, was an example that those who knew him will never forget. He is survived by his wife, Tamera Hilton; their seven children: Breeanna (Chris) Knutson, Kent "Tyler" (Tylee), Keaton (Angela), Lindsey (Tanner) Hunsaker, Parker (Chelsea), Justin (Madeline), and Connor; and their 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters and was preceded in death by his mother, father and granddaughter Lexi. A viewing to celebrate his life will be held on September 9th, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 13863 S 2700 W, Bluffdale, UT.
