Kent Clark Rice

Kent Clark Rice, born July 31, 1999, in Matsudo, Chiba, Japan, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Chatsworth, Georgia. At the age of 25, Kent's life was marked by love, family, and meaningful connections.
Kent spent his early childhood in the rich culture of Japan before moving to Georgia at the age of seven. This transition began a new chapter filled with treasured memories and enduring friendships. Among his greatest joys was being a devoted father to his two-year-old son, Leviticus Clark Rice, and stepfather to six-year-old Amara.
In addition to Levi and Amara, he is survived by his wife Jasmyne Rice, of Dalton, Georgia. He was a 2018 graduate of North Forsyth High School.
He is deeply mourned by his parents, Michael Rice and Kimiyo Kanda of Cumming, Georgia; his brother, Kevin Brent Rice, also of Cumming; and his paternal grandparents, Clark and Dixie Rice of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins who brought much joy to his life. Kent was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Kent's beautiful and kind soul touched all who knew him. His presence brought light to every room he entered-a light that continues to shine in the hearts of those who hold him dear. He was posthumously promoted from E5 to E6 (Staff Sergeant), U.S. Army.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:30 am until time of service.
