He was born in Charleston, WV to Kermit and Georgia Dotson who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Jeanne, Barbara, and Rosemary.
Kermit is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Peggy; his three daughters, Kelly Hayhurst (Joey), Kristy Cox (Mike) and Kathy Wolfe (Brent); and his three grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Wyatt, Ian and Sarah.
Funeral service will be Friday, September 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton, WV, with Rev. Joe Wolfe, officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kermit's memory to either the Alzheimer's Association or the Hubbard Hospice House West.
Arrangements by Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
