Kerry Bieze Obituary
Kerry is survived by her loving sons, Tim Bieze (Ashley) and Andy Bieze (Amanda), and her daughter, Liz Bruss (Andy). As a proud "Nana," she leaves behind a legacy for her grandchildren: Ashlyn, Collins, Camden, Taylor, Lincoln, Charlie, Theo, and JoJo. She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Nelson (Theresa) of CA and Dale Nelson of FL, as well as her brother-in-laws Dan (Marie) and Michael (Michele) both of Chicago, IL. Kerry is further survived by her partner, Walter Schmidt, whose love and support brought her joy in her later years. Kerry will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who cherished her vivacious spirit.
Kerry earned her Master's degree in Education from Northern Illinois University and dedicated her career to teaching elementary special education, first in Illinois and later in District 833 in Woodbury, MN. She finished her career teaching first grade, where she inspired countless young minds. Kerry had a passion for gardening, hunting for antiques, and traveling, always seeking to "make memories".
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Cottage Grove (9260 E Point Douglas Rd S) on December 14th from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
Kerry's warmth, kindness, and love will be remembered by all who knew her.
