Kerry Gayle Morgan, a cherished member of the community and a retired state employee, passed away on June 17, 2025, at the Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on February 16, 1949, in Hoskinston, Kentucky. Kerry was known for his fun-loving spirit, caring nature, and wonderful sense of humor that touched the lives of those around him.
As a high school graduate, Kerry dedicated his career to serving the state, earning respect and admiration throughout his professional life. Beyond his career, he enjoyed a life filled with passion and commitment to his family and faith. He was a devout Christian, who took great pride in his role as a Sunday School Teacher and church bus driver for fifteen years. Kerry and his pastor, Rev. James Bowling, Jr. shared a very special relationship of mutual respect and a treasured & cherished friendship.
Kerry was a loving and devoted husband to Mable Stidham Morgan. He is also survived by his son, Kelvin Brent Morgan and his wife Janice; two daughters, Tracy Ann Morgan Napier and her husband Jeff, and Abigail Nicole Bowling and her husband Jon. Kerry is remembered fondly by his surviving siblings: his brother, Cleophas "Bud" Morgan and his wife Christine, and his sister, Elaine Howard and her husband Steve. Kerry's memory will also live on in the lives of these grandchildren: Aaron Napier (Victoria), Andrew Morgan (Kameron), Ashton Morgan (Hailey Lewis), and Wynter Bowling; and these great-grandchildren: Liam Robinson and Jaxson Caudill-Morgan.
Kerry's joyous personality was complemented by his hobbies. He loved going to church, working on cars, and often indulged in being a prankster, bringing laughter to his family and friends. He proudly embraced his roles as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Morgan and Elsie Sizemore Morgan, as well as two sisters, Irene Collett and Darlene Morgan, and two brothers, Roy Gene Morgan and Bobby Ray Morgan.
The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for June 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church, Stinnett, KY. A funeral service will follow on June 22, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, at the same location.
Kerry Gayle Morgan leaves behind a legacy characterized by love, laughter, and a commitment to his faith and family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
