Kevin P. Abbott

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Kevin P. Abbott passed away at the age of 59 at his home in Fairfax, Virginia. Preceded in death by his father, Paul, mother, Catherine, and sister, Patricia, he is survived by his three children Sara, Erin (Patrick Stretavski), and Brady (Kathlene) Abbott, niece Megan (Seth Stout), sister Karen and ex-wife Donna (Bill Stoessel). He becomes the first guardian angel to his expectant granddaughter. Though a Pittsburgher through and through, he spent his last several years in Fairfax, Virginia with his devoted partner, Kelley Traver, her daughter, Kaira (Eugene Ednie), and Trey, Tanner, and Thomas, whom Kevin loved as a grandfather. Kevin enjoyed a career in property development and was a generous donor to Make-a-Wish and St. Jude during his life. His passion for food and people demonstrated his commitment to enjoy all that life had to offer. He was a beloved coach, mentor, friend, and loving father, brother, and son. Memorial service arrangements will be organized through Beinhauer, 2630 West Liberty Ave. 15216 (412) 531-4000 on Monday, April 18. There will be a gathering for friends and family at 10am followed by the service at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations for memorial and end-of-life expenses.
