September 23, 1956 - January 6, 2024
On the morning of Saturday, January 6, 2024, Kevin Alexander, Sr. departed this earthly life to join his parents, Benjamin Alexander, Sr., and Victoria Roussell Alexander. Kevin was their youngest child, born on September 23, 1956, in New Orleans, LA. He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic School and later graduated from Leon Godchaux High School in 1974. Shortly after graduation, he went to live in California with his sisters, Earline, Lois, Veronica, and Christine. He remained in Los Angeles for a few years before returning to Reserve. Once back in Reserve, he began doing mechanic work and working for Sears on Jefferson Hwy as an appliance repairman. Kevin was joined in Holy Matrimony with Sarah Flowers. Kevin was the loving father of four daughters: Chasity Smith, Rachel, Kimberly, and the late Bridgett Alexander and one son, Kevin, Jr. Kevin enjoyed working with his dad doing brickwork, carpentry, and mechanic work. He tried many other things, but always came back to mechanic work and carpentry.
He will be missed by his children: Chasity Smith, Rachel, Kimberly, and Kevin Alexander, Jr. Grandchildren: Kayla & Loreal Smith, Laron Hill Ca'Hara Scott, Cy'Erah Alexander, Kingston Fagan, Ra'lynn Stewart, RoZhyria Joseph. His Sisters: Lois Henry, and Ann (Jerry,III) Means and brother: Walter Alexander. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding Kevin in death is his daughter: Bridgette Alexander; Grandchild: AuBrey Alexis; his parents Benjamin Alexander, Sr. and Victoria Rousell Alexander, sisters: Earline Madere, Veronica Hicks, Patricia Barnes, Christine Gagnier, and Tanya Roussell; brothers: Benjamin, Jr., Gerald, Reginald, Ranny, Michael, and Dwight Alexander.
May his soul and those of his dearly departed family members, Rest in Peace.
Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors, Officers, and Members of New Rescue Mission Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at 11:00am on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at New Rescue Mission Baptist Church, 361 East 14th Street, Reserve, LA. 70084. Rev. Devon Mason, Pastor-Officiant. Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named church. Interment will be private. Final Arrangements Entrusted to Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home & Funeral Directors, Inc. 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA 70068. 985.359.1919. "Providing Care & Comfort is Our Highest Mission".

Kevin always has concern patience and time for his family and other people. Kevin kept it real and he was considerate generous and kind. Kevin always called me Claudia because l have a cousin name Claudia Weston who l grew up with all my life. He kept it real and he understands a lot and more. Kevin is a great person and he is a wonderful human being. God bless you and your family. May you rest in peace Kevin. Your family is waiting for you to join them in your Heavenly home. Sleep rest joy love peace tranquility serenity prosperous happiness with the God. Amen .
