Kevin Stacy Carlock, 66, affectionately known as "Spudz" a resident of Jennings, LA. passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side. Kevin was born on November 14, 1958 in Natchez, MS to the late Ronald Carlock and Joeann Marion McGehee Carlock. He was baptized at an early age. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez, MS. Upon completing High School, Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy. He was later employed as a Whitewater Rapids Rafting Instructor. He also worked as a Bartender during the off season during the winter months when he wasn't rafting. Kevin loved riding Mountain Bikes and was a good Mountain Bike Mechanic. Kevin was always seeking new adventures and enjoyed the friendship of people all over the world. He enjoyed spending time with his family and during his illness, his family provided his care. Kevin was thought to be the one of the smartest men by his nieces as he was always reading books and was able to retain a wealth of information. He was the life of a party, always telling jokes, and just a lot of fun to have around.
Kevin is survived by his brother, Ronald Carlock (Sandra) of Jennings, LA; two nieces, Casey Carlock and Christine Tortorich (Donald) both of Jennings, LA; great-nieces, Lexleigh Carlock, Ashyln Carlock, AmiLee Tortorich, and Bella Bryd; great-nephews, Brayden Tortorich, Casyn Tortorich, and Matthew Tortorich; a host of local and long-distant friends all over the country.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Joeann Carlock.
Memorial services will be held later this summer in Natchez, MS and Chattanooga, TN with some of his cremains being scattered in the Ocee River where he formerly did whitewater rafting.
