With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby John Bouffine Sr., who left us peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on September 16, 1947, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, LA, Bobby lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.Bobby was a truly loving man who cherished his family above all else. A man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures, Bobby had a passion for fishing and was known far and wide as a sharpshooter. His spirit was infectious, and he embraced every moment with zest and joy.
He is survived by his fiancé, Connie Sims; daughters, Melissa Renteria, Vanessa (Francisco) Escobar, and Cara Bouffine; step children, Juanita, Justin, Trey, & Benjamin; previous companions, Karen Gallemore and Stephanie; his special caretaker, Heavenly Welsh; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his universe.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place at Miguez Funeral Home on Monday August 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
Visitation will begin on Sunday August 3, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m., in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel and lasting until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
He will be laid to rest in Bon Pasteur Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral home.
We invite all who knew Bobby to come together to honor a wonderful man who brought so much love and laughter into our lives. Rest in peace, Bobby. You will be dearly missed.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bouffine and Ruby Bouffine; his son, Bobby Bouffine, Jr.; and his daughter, Cynthia Bouffine.
