Kevin Charles Kehs passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at his vacation home in Corolla, North Carolina. He was 67.

Kevin spent his childhood in Schwenksville, Pa., where he attended Perkiomen Valley High School and lettered in wrestling, football, and track & field. He received several scholarship offers for both football and wrestling and accepted a wrestling scholarship to Duke University. He was named Outstanding Wrestler there in 1977-78, and was Atlantic Coast Conference Runner Up in 1978-79.

After graduating, Kevin returned home to become the fifth-generation owner and operator of A. F. Leidy Hardware Inc., which he ran for over four decades. Sports remained a big part of his life. In addition to a lifelong passion for golf, Kevin supported the athletic careers of his own kids, as well as the kids of countless other family members and friends. Eventually, he returned to PV High as Coach Kehs on the football and wrestling teams.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James Kehs, his mother, Marie Kehs, and his brother, Jeffrey Kehs. He is survived by sons Julian, Charles (Jen) and James (Megan) Kehs and sister, Jamie Kawalek, as well as five grandchildren–Olivia, Colin, Isobel, Chloe and Aubrey Kehs–his ex-wife, Sara Kehs, and nieces Julie Guerre-Chaley and Rachel Wells.

Kevin will be remembered for his love of history, loud rock music, large vehicles and the ocean. But most of all, it is his abundant love for and loyalty to family and friends that will live on. Those he left behind feel his absence deeply.

A gathering to celebrate Kevin's life and share stories will be hosted by his family Aug. 11, 2025 from 2-6pm at Perkiomen Township Pavilion and Fire Hall at 485 Gravel Pike, Collegeville, Pa., 19426. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Kevin C. Kehs Memorial Scholarship Fund to support the careers of future PV High School athletes. Checks can be written to the Montgomery County Fund with "Kevin C. Kehs Memorial Fund" in the memo line or dedicated to the same fund online at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/mcf-donate. Please share a message of comfort online at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
