Kevin Ray Kirby, born on June 29, 1969, in Shreveport, LA, passed away at the age of 56 on September 14, 2025, in his hometown. Kevin spent his youth at Northwood High School, laying the foundation for a future that would be as vibrant as it was impactful.

Professionally, Kevin dedicated 25 years to his career as a pressman before venturing into entrepreneurship with the establishment of DownSouth Dawgs and Catering, a business that reflected his love for food and community. His work ethic and passion for service left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He was a beloved figure in his family, survived by his brother Larry Kirby; his children Cody, Kelsey, and Gillian; and his grandchildren Ezra Holloway, Remy Kirby, and Charlie Holloway; and his loving companion Dixie. Including many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Kirby Sr. & Georgia Kirby, and his brothers, Kenneth Jr. and Charles Kirby.
