Kevin K McHale

Kevin Kelly McHale passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Patricia Anne Cameron and John Joseph McHale and sister Mary Madeleine "Mavie" McHale.
Kevin was born on November 27th, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Atlanta from Milwaukee in 1965 when his father was the President of the Braves. Kevin graduated from Marist and the University of Georgia. He served as Battalion Commander at Marist.
Kevin worked in variety of sports management jobs. He managed activities of the Montreal Expos farm teams and spring training and was Marketing Director for the Miami Dolphins and The Goodwill Games. He served as Director of Ticketing and Transportation for the Lake Placid Olympic Games. In more recent years he served as VP of Information Services for Geographics, an Atlanta printing, marketing, data, and technology company.
Kevin was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and the US Olympic Teams. He loved giving gifts of gear from all of them. Kevin was famous for his excellent abilities as a host and a guest. He never showed up without a theme drink, team flag or some exotic food item he had discovered on Buford Highway.
Since 1995, Kevin had been an active member of various heart support groups at Piedmont Hospital and was named Piedmont Hospital Cardiac Patient of the Year. He was one of the original users of the LVAD (Left Ventricle Assist Device) therapy since 2010. Kevin's family would like to thank all of the people at Piedmont in the Cardiac and Heart Failure Institute for their support.
Kevin is survived by his brothers John McHale, Jr (Sally) and Brian McHale (Susana) and sisters Cameron Glaws (Peter- deceased) and Anne McLeod (Doug). He was the proud uncle to 15 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of donations in any amount to either of two institutions that were close to Kevin's heart. A funeral mass will be said at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church 636 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023. Internment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, FL.
