Kevin was born in Mesquite, Texas on February 5, 1965 to Clyde and Rozetta Nettles. He attended elementary school at Shands in Mesquite and Jr. High at Vanston in Mesquite before moving to Greenville and attending high school at Caddo Mills, where he met his wife Jessica. They married February 22, 1986 and were blessed with one child, Branden Ray Nettles.
After finishing high school, Kevin worked in landscape, then he started working on the golf course at the Dallas Athletic Club. After his father retired in 1999, Kevin assumed his father's position as the Golf Course Superintendent. During his time in this position, he received the A.C. Garry Bearden Superintendent of the year award in 2013 and the Distinguished Service Award from the North Texas Chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association in 2021.Kevin loved working on the golf course.
Kevin's hobbies included fishing and hunting, but most of all, he loved working with his cows and piddling at the farm in Greenville, Texas. He worked until complications from medical reasons and retired early in 2022.
He is survived by wife; Jessica, son; Branden, brother; Mike Nettles and wife Debbie of Mesquite, sister-in-law; Billie Joe Hubbard and husband Dyran, niece; Taylor Stone and husband Jordan and great nephew; Rawley Stone.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Clyde and Rozettta Nettles.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at the Dallas Athletic Club on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3pm.
