Kevin Demarcus Phifer

The life-journey for Kevin Demarcus Phifer, affectionally known as " Phife" began in the early morning on August 22, 1975, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord, NC with his parents, the late James Luther Phifer and Brenda Posey.

Kevin's journey took him through the Logan Community, beginning with Beulah Baptist Church and Logan Daycare Center and he later attended Oak Grove Baptist Church, Harrisburg, NC.

Kevin's summer months were spent going to Vacation Bible School at different churches as well as the Park and Recreation Center for summer camp. He participated in different sports and formed a forever brotherhood with the young men that attended summer camp. The family relocated to Harrisburg in the McMillian Acres Community which was also an extension of the Logan Community. There he was blessed to add to his forever brotherhood.

Kevin graduated from Central Cabarrus High School and he met and married Christen White. From this union two sons were born. Kevin was employed with Safe Ways, Concord, NC until his health declined. During his 12 years at Davita Dialysis Center, he used his voice to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and investing time encouraging others.

God begin calling his name and early morning on January 29, 2026 traded his earthly body for his new heavenly body. As Number 7 (Kevin's Football Number for the Central Cabarrus Vikings) approached the finish line he saw Jesus Christ and the loved ones that had already gone on before him cheering him on, his father, James Luther Phifer, grandparents James Brevard and Sarah Geneva Phifer, Mr. Junior and Willie Posey,

Those on this side cheering him on, Mother, Brenda Posey, Concord, NC, Two sons, Isaiah Phifer, Charlotte, NC and Elijah Phifer , Lake Wylie, SC. Two sisters Deshon Phifer Culbertson (Jeffery) Midland, NC and Brianna Phifer of Winston Salem, NC Godbrother, Otisquest Posey, Concord, NC One niece, Keana Culbertson two nephews, JC and Joshua Culbertson. Great Nephew, Josiah Culbertson. Four uncles, Fred Phifer " Mohawk" (Gladys) and Virgil Posey, Winston Salem, NC, Ervin Posey, Asheville, NC and Tribal Chief Ivey Posey, Concord, NC. Three Aunts, Matriarch Constance Posey, Sylvia Posey Heggins (Clarence) and Sharon Posey, all of Concord, NC. Loving friends and caregivers, Corey Cauthen and Andrea Efird, Concord, NC. He is also survived by host of aunts, uncle, cousins and friends that were all blessings and a part of Kevin's village.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harrisburg. The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
