Kevin A. Schmidt

Kevin A. Schmidt, 61, of Watertown, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 p.m.at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Gehler officiating. Family and friends may gather at Hafemeister Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the Watertown Humane Society.
Kevin Andrew Schmidt was born December 4, 1963, in Watertown, the son of Andrew and Anita (nee Bergmann) Schmidt.
Following his high school graduation, Kevin built a dedicated career, working for Karma as a supervisor. He also spent a portion of his time working for Ira L. Henry Box Company. Kevin married the former Jill Kraemer on April 18, 2019.
Kevin's passions included skillfully rebuilding and painting cars and motorcycles. He was also a great cook, known for his steak, lobster, and chili. He was a member of Moose Lodge #830. Most of all, Kevin loved spending time with his fur-babies.
Kevin is survived by his wife Jill Schmidt; children, Andrew Zimmerman, Krystel (David) Gornto, John (Luke) Loukota, and Justin (Kamyla) Yager; grandchildren, Lillian Schmidt, Jedidiyah Hefter, and Jackie Gornto; fur-children, Winston, Cooper, and Mary Lou; sister, Pamela (Dave) Boucher; as well as other relatives and friends.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Barbara Krueger.
