Kevin E. Yeamans

Kevin Eugene Yeamans, 67, passed away on Sunday, October 13th at his cabin in the hills of southern Ohio. Kevin died on what would have are been his late father, Ralph's birthday. He was born on April 18, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to Ralph Yeamans and Mary Lou Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Thom Yeamans. He is survived by his mom, Mary Lou Yeamans, his sons Canyon Yeamans and Calun Yeamans and grandchildren. Kevin imparted his curiosity, love of travel, and drive for self-improvement to his sons. Kevin will be sorely missed by his special friend Barb Randall and her six grandchildren (Claudia, Aiden, Clara, Bradley, Katie and Hannah) that loved to spend time with him. Kevin attended New Albany High School and graduated from Eastland Vocational school and The Timken Company's machinist apprenticeship program. Growing up he loved hunting, fishing, skiing and craftmanship of all kinds. He excelled in motorcycle enduro races and was nationally ranked as a bareback bronc rider in the rodeo. His talents as a machinist took him around the world maintaining specialty paper and pulp industry equipment. His presence positively impacted people worldwide including in the former Czechoslovakia, while it was still behind the iron curtain. Kevin achieved the rank of lieutenant during years of service to the Greenfield township volunteer fire department. He was a talented electrician for a number of years for his father's company, Electro Mech, and then an inspector for Greenfield township. He was a master of everything mechanical and electrical and loved sharing that knowledge with anyone that needed his help. He made great friends in the Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club and in his wood working club. He will be missed by the neighbors he loved to share time with tinkering on things in the barn of his dreams situated in the hills he loved. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and to share a story.
Visitation will be on October 23, 2024 at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, Worthington, from 11am -1pm. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home at 1pm and upon conclusion departure for the interment ceremony at Cheshire Cemetery.
