Kimball George Pease, Sr; lovingly known as "Kim," passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on February 24,1942, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of George and Genevieve (Rogers) Pease. Kim's legacy is one that reflects a life filled with devotion to family, faith, and community.

A proud veteran, Kim served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. After completing his service, he transitioned into a career where he made a significant impact as the editor of the Rotan Advance Newspaper for over 25 years. His words and insights enriched the lives of many in his community.

Kim held dearly to his Christian faith, as a dedicated member of the NWTX Conference of the United Methodist Church. He engaged actively in mission work, reflecting his commitment to serving others and making the world a better place. His passions extended beyond his faith; he found joy in stained glass artistry and enjoying time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Family was at the core of Kim's being. He cherished his wife, Reta Janeece Pease, with whom he celebrated nearly 63 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a loving home, raising their daughters Kellie (Alan) Kiker and Julie (Donnie Carl) Gruben, and their sons, Kimball George Pease Jr. (Kip) and John Pease. Kim's warm spirit extended to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored, leaving behind a proud lineage of nine grandchildren Amy (Nolan) Waggoner, Seth (Tanner) Kiker, Ryan (Jordan) Pease, Kimber (Ben) Morgan, Mikaylee (Keller) Adams, Victoria (Cooper) Cashdollar, James (Shelby) Gruben, John (Destiny) Gruben, Carley (Harrison) Culwell and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Kim is also survived by his brother, Larry Pease, and his sisters, Susa Nadeau, Polly McBrien, and Nancy Tighe. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Genevieve Pease, as well as his brothers William (Bill) Pease and Jay Pease, and his sister Carol Egan.

A visitation to honor Kim's memory will be 2:00 PM on October 5, 2025 at the Rotan Methodist Church Basement, located on McKinley Street in Rotan, Texas. In all facets of his life, Kimball George Pease was a beacon of love and strength, embodying the values he held dear. His presence will be greatly missed, yet his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
