Kimber J. Heddens Jr.

Kimber J. Heddens, Jr., age 70, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Kimber was a farmer from a young age and his expertise in the agriculture field only grew with age. As an adult, he worked in the technology field, was a businessman, yet also found time to be involved in charitable works. Kimber was very active in his community. He was the head of the Emergency Operations Center and, in the event of a disaster, would provide and organize relief for the five surrounding counties. Kimber was an accomplished aviator who owned his own plane and was treasurer secretary for the Henderson Municipal Airport Board of Directors. He was a member of The Experimental Aircraft Association, The Ham Radio Club, and was a trivia buff who played on a team weekly. Kimber was beloved by his family and friends, and he will be sorely missed.

Kimber was preceded in death by his father, Kimber J. Heddens, Sr., and his mother, Virginia "Ginny" Berry Heddens.

Kimber is survived by his wife of 27 years Stancy Heddens; stepdaughter Corrine Ballard of Henderson, KY; stepson Brian Ballard and his wife Jamie of Las Vegas, NV; sister Elizabeth Smith of Loveland, CO; brother John Heddens and his wife Mindy of Ft. Collins, CO; step granddaughter Kaylee Givens; nieces Myriah Heddens Prasad and Hannah Heddens McCormack and her husband Jackson; great nephew Rohan Prasad and great niece Anyana McCormack.

Relatives and friends are invited to Kimber's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and again on Wednesday starting at 10:00 a.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at International Order of Odd Fellows in Boxville, KY.
