Kimberli "Kim" Kaye Wise, 56, loving mother of Travis Wise and daughter of Judie Karpuleon, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023. Kim was born in Lexington to Judie Davis Karpuleon and the late Benjamin Karpuleon, Sr. on Dec. 28, 1966. She loved people, was a former employee of Hospice, and attended the Reality Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts especially painting ceramics. Kim was delighted to watch her family members when they played sports and was abundantly fond of her dogs Peanut, Marley, and Roxie. In addition to her Mother, son Travis, and his fiancée Courtney, she will be fondly remembered by her granddaughter McKinlee Brianne Wise and future grandsons Noah and Liam Cooper, and brother Benjamin "Benny" Karpuleon Jr., as well as special friends Dorothy Friend and Jeri Pruett and numerous extended family members and friends. Kim was preceded in death by a great nephew Creed Michael Karpuleon and maternal grandparents June and Dorothy Davis. Her Funeral Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Jim Davis and Pastor Chris Norman officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Benny Karpuleon, Jimmy Davis, Jason Price, Lucas Karpuleon, Dan Hager, and Billy Hessler. The family will greet friends beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM on Monday, Oct 30, at the funeral home. At Kim's request, the family suggests you make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a Humane Society instead of flowers. "If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever." Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and loyalty given to us to care for Kim and her family.

Hey Kimmie! I'm kind of glad no one has posted anything here yet because I've had a really hard time with you being gone. I couldn't make your service because as you know I'm thousands of miles away. I know that we shared so many good times-too many to even begin listing with you and I -!and me, you, Sheri, and Maria. I'm so thankful for those memories they have honestly lasted a lifetime and to reflect on those has been nothing short of heartwarming yet heartbreaking. I never thought you would go before me. Thank you for a long lasting friendship, and caring about my family the way you have. You know all my thoughts and things that I need to work on so please watch over me and pray pray pray! I will miss seeing you when I come home and will probably still try to call you. I know everybody at home will take care and watch over your Momma . Travis and those grandbabies you so loved. Please give my Daddy a BIG HUG and let him know how much I miss him and all of our other friends too. No more of this awful pain, trials and heartache for you. Rest easy my friend and just know I will miss seeing and talking with you. Keep soaring angel girl until we meet again.
