Verline worked several jobs over the years and retired from Kroger's after working in the Deli Department for over 15 yrs in Lexington, KY.
Verline was proceeded in death by her parents James Tubbs Sr. and Rosetta Burks Tubbs: Daughter Waneka Burks: Son Erik Burks: Sister Nellie Katherine Burks: Brothers Manual and Richard Burks
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband Bill Hobson; daughters Erika Burks and Megan Mangis; one son Steffon(Nancy)Burks: seven grandchildren Darius Burks, Ariana Burks, Christian Burks, Omari Burks, Elanna Burks, Ryan Keller, Malakai Mangis: sisters: Judy Tubbs, Pamela (Victor) Moses, Cindy(Kenyatta) Elmore: two brothers, Jerry Tubbs and James Carter Tubbs Jr. Aunt Lavada Burks: special cousin Isabelle Barnes. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of you who showed kindness towards our family during this difficult time.
A celebration of life service will start at 2pm Friday, July 25, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, followed by a repass until 6 pm in Clark Legacy Center - Reception Hall.
