Wayne Richard “Richie” Vaughn, 76, husband of Mary McGrann Vaughn, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home on Logan Road in Jessamine County, Kentucky. He was born on April 30, 1949, in Lamb County, Texas, to the late Willie Raymond Vaughn and Eva Lucille Shipley Vaughn. Wayne retired from American Building Components as a mechanic. Survivors include three daughters, Amy Danielle Vaughn, Rebecca Jo Dray and her husband, Shawn, and Mary Newman and her husband, Blake, two sisters, Elva Darlene Kelly and Sandra Kay Hill, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Carter officiating. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, where Shawn Dray, Blake Newman, Joshua Dray, Gilbert Horton, Therrol Horton, and Joseph Meece will serve as bearers. The visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve Richie and his family in their time of need.
