Kimberly Ann Burston, a beacon of kindness and intelligence, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, in Columbus, Georgia. Born on July 27, 1974, in the serene town of Ban Dug, Thailand, Kimberly was a cherished daughter, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a beloved sister whose optimistic spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Kimberly's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her passion for education. After completing her undergraduate studies, she went on to earn a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. Her academic achievements were not just a testament to her intelligence but also to her determination and commitment to personal growth.
As the heart of her family, Kimberly's most treasured role was that of a caregiver. While her husband Lee Burston served his country, she provided a nurturing home for their daughters, Aleena and Adrianna. Her ability to create a loving and stable environment was her gift to her family during times of uncertainty. Kimberly's parents, Nell Ann Arvitas and Alan Stickley, her siblings Rob, James, Gennie, and Geoff Arvitas, along with her nieces, nephews, and cousins, will forever remember her as a source of love and support that knew no bounds.
Kimberly's interests were as unique as her personality. She found great joy in the simple pleasure of watching nostalgic television shows. Series like Columbo, Bewitched, McMillan & Wife, and other detective shows from the 1970s and 80s provided her with endless entertainment and a fondness for the charm of bygone eras. Her love for these shows was more than just a hobby; it was a way for her to connect with the past and share her enthusiasm with friends and family.
Those who knew Kimberly will recall her as a person who could light up a room with her presence. Her boundless kindness was felt by everyone she encountered, and her intelligence was evident in her thoughtful conversations and insightful observations. Her optimism was a constant, even in the face of life's challenges, and she had the remarkable ability to see the good in every situation and in every person.
Kimberly's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the pursuit of happiness. She believed in the power of a positive outlook and the importance of cherishing every moment. Her spirit will continue to live on through the memories she created with those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.
As we say goodbye to Kimberly Ann Burston, we celebrate the extraordinary life she led and the countless ways she touched our hearts. Her presence may be missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us every day. Kimberly's life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the joy of living each day to the fullest. Her memory will be treasured forever by all who knew her.
The Burston family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the community for the outpouring of love and support during this time. The cherished memories shared with Kimberly will forever be a guiding light in the lives of her loved ones. She has left behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and an unwavering zest for life that will never be forgotten.
