Kimberly "Kim" "Anne" Malveaux
Lafayette: Kimberly "Kim" Anne' Malveaux, age 59, of Lafayette, Louisiana, peacefully pässed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Born in Lafayette to Alfred and Mabel Chaisson Malveaux, Kim was a woman of strength and resilience. She triumphed over a childhood battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma and went on to live a life marked by love, compassion, and joy. She was a devoted mother to Raquel, Malik and Desirae; a cherished partner to Antoine "Doc" Broussard; and a proud grandmother to her beloved "Princess".
Kim shared her warm spirit and heart for service through a long and dedicated career in the hospitality and restaurant industries, where she worked for over 40 years. Her infectious smile, generous nature, and vibrant personality made her a joy to be around. A loyal New Orleans Saints fan, Kim brought the same energy and enthusiasm to cheering on her team as she did to every facet of her life.
She is survived by her children: Joycelyn Raquel (Keela) Morgan-Palmer of Atlanta, GA; Treyvon Malik Barber and Desirae Barber, both of Lafayette, LA; her granddaughter Kynzaiah; her mother, Mabel Malveaux; and her siblings: Sherlyn Alexander Malveaux, Mark Malveaux, Kenneth (Charlene) Malveaux, Phyllis (Leo) Breaux, Phillip (Mary) Malveaux, and Angelia (Douglas) Payne, all of Lafayette. She also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Malveaux, and her sister, Debra Malveaux Bossier.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Carolyn "Tiny" Milson and Hospice of Acadiana for their compassionate care and support during Kim's final days.
Kim' life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
