Kimberly Papp, of Beverly Hills, died October 25, 2025. She was 63 years old. Kim was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 20, 1960 to parents Emil and Kathleen (nee Cochrane) Cehaich.
Kim is survived by her husband, Sabin Patrick Papp, two children, Tierney and Caileigh (Ryan), and her grand-pets. Sabin and Kimberly celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary just days before her passing (October 20th) - a true testament to the strength of their commitment to each other. In their early years, they could often be found exploring downtown Detroit together - cheering on their favorite teams, enjoying the city's restaurants and nightlife, and taking memorable trips to places like Chicago or the beaches of LA, her favorite. Sabin was always her partner in crime, and later became her greatest source of strength. Through every challenge, he stood by her side with unwavering devotion, care, and love - embodying loyalty and tenderness in its purest form. Together, they shared not only a marriage but a deep friendship - filled with laughter, adventure, and even the occasional chaos of birthing kittens side by side.
Also survived by her mother, Kathleen ("Kathy") Cehaich, a retired nurse whose compassion and strength became a steady light for Kim and the entire family. Kathy not only inspired Kim's timeless sense of style, but also provided endless love and care through the most difficult years. She was her daughter's confidante, cheerleader, and greatest comfort - and their bond was one of extraordinary devotion.
Tierney Papp lovingly and devotedly cared for her mom for many years. She made it her mission to ensure Kim was surrounded by comfort, quality care, and constant love - and found true purpose and joy in being by her side every step of the way. Tierney mirrored her mom's positivity and optimism, carrying that same warmth and light that made everyone around them feel loved.
Caileigh Papp (spouse, Ryan Metzler) of Salt Lake City, Utah, shared countless adventures with her mom across the country. The two were an inseparable team on their cross-country road trips - "Driving Miss Daisy," or "Thelma and Lousie" as they liked to call it - from Michigan to Austin, Maryland, and Arizona. Those drives became stories, laughter, and memories that she cherished for the rest of her life.
Kim is also survived by furry friends Finnigan and Forrest (belonging to Tierney), and Boomer, Mecro, and Willow (belonging to Caileigh and Ryan). She adored each of them and loved being their "Grand-pet Mom."
She is preceded in death by her father, Emil Cehaich - the funniest and sweetest man, from whom she inherited her humor, brilliance, work ethic, and that unmistakable child-like glow. Emil's quick wit and big heart shaped Kim's personality in countless ways; his influence could be felt every time she made someone laugh or refused to give up on something she believed in.
Kim earned her associate's degree from Ferris State University and the University of Detroit Mercy. She was known for her tireless work ethic and optimism - first in marketing, then in the medical field. She faced every obstacle with grace and positivity, working faithfully until she no longer could.
Kimberly showed up for everyone - always - with kindness, warmth, and a heart that made people feel seen and cared for. Her religion was kindness. She lived by love and compassion, embodying gentleness in every moment. Her smile and laugh could light up an entire room. Her joy was contagious and drew people in instantly. Her kindness was trendy - just like her style. A true fashion queen, she inherited her eye for beauty and carried it forward with effortless grace. She was pure sunshine. Even when life gave her challenges, she carried a child-like spirit - playful, bubbly, and endlessly curious. Her strength shone through in quiet, beautiful ways. She faced every day with courage, humor, and grace that inspired everyone around her. She lit up every space she entered; people would turn their heads when she walked in, drawn by her brightness, humor, and genuine heart.
A proud Michigander through and through, she loved her Detroit sports teams (Go Lions!!) and cheered passionately for the University of Michigan - Go Blue! (and Go Green for Cai!). Christmas was Kim's season; she poured her heart into making it magical, from thoughtful gifts to festive traditions that made everyone feel loved. She also cherished time "up north"; she was a true sun goddess and could sit by the beach for hours, soaking in the warmth, and somehow always ended up with the most beautiful tan on the planet. We hope you're somewhere basking in all of God's best, Kim - golden and glowing, just like you always were. Her presence was a gift. She reminded everyone to find joy, to stay kind, and to notice the beauty in small, ordinary moments.
Some of her happiest memories were spent at Douglas Lake with her best friend, Kathy Kokesh, of nearly 50 years - also a nurse, who provided Kim and our family with great comfort, reassurance, and security. We don't know how we could have gotten through these years without her. Kathy's love and loyalty were a constant source of strength, and we want to ensure her impact on our family and on Kim is never forgotten. Thank you, Kathy - we love you.
Her love was quiet but wide - it filled rooms, hearts, and lifetimes. Though her body grew tired, her light never dimmed. It dances now in the shimmer of Christmas lights, the first sip of coffee on a cozy morning, a joyful "Go Blue!" on game day, and the wag of her beloved grand-pets' tails. Her warmth and humor live on in everyone lucky enough to have known her - a light that will never fade.
Go Lions!
