Kirk Clark, affectionately known as "KC", was born in Jacksonville, Georgia, on August 8, 1955, to parents Johnnie Clark and Daisy Clark. He was the seventh of nine children. He attended Lake County Public Schools. While in high school, Kirk was a part of the track team and was a graduate of the Clermont High School, graduating class of 1973.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Armed Forces in 1974. After his service, he returned home to Clermont where he lived the remainder of his life. Shortly after returning to Clermont, he began employment at the Middle Brook Retirement Home until his retirement.
Kirk was well-known in the community. He always had a kind word or a smile to share with everyone he came in contact with. He also had a heart for God and loved to sing in the church choir. Of course, he could sing; and you couldn't tell him any different.
Kirk made his earthly departure on December 6, 2024 at South Lake Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.
Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Daisy Clark; Brothers, Johnnie Clark and Milton Clark; Sisters, Cummie Wells and Lola Chandler; and Daughter, Katura Gordon.
Left to cherish his memory: his loving Wife, Lynette Clark of Clermont, Florida; 4 Children: Bertha Clark, Kirk Clark, Jr., and Mary Clark, all of Clermont, Florida, and Japon Gordon, of Groveland, Florida; Siblings: Perlie Hodges of Detroit, Michigan, Diane Dority (Kevin) of Miami, Florida, Lucille DeRamus of Clermont, Florida, and Elvis Clark (Edna) of Leesburg, Florida; 4 Grandchildren: Aaliyaha Bing, Sandetta Clark, Zamariya Alexander, and Jamari Grainger, all of Clermont, Florida, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Khamrie Kinloch and Nylae Isom, both of Clermont, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
